About Kay Cross

Cross Coaching & Wellness was founded in 1988 by Kay Cross, M.Ed., ACC, CSCS, and provides personal coaching, small business coaching and personal fitness and weight loss coaching for individuals seeking increased happiness and a better quality of life.

Kay started her career in wellness in 1988 when she started her own personal training business. After years of training literally hundreds of men and women, she realized that many of them were not making lasting behavior changes because the rest of their lives were “getting in the way”. Because of her desire to dig deeper and help clients with all aspects of their lives, Kay embarked on professional training in the field of life coaching in 2001. Since that time she has used her expertise and skills as a personal and business coach to guide people in maximizing all areas of their lives and helping them navigate the many paths and choices they are faced with on a daily basis. She believes that true wellness and wholeness is about mind, body and spirit and finding, creating and maintaining your own happy balance between all three.

Kay has a Master's Degree in Education from the University of North Texas. She is an Associate Certified Coach (ACC) through the International Coach Federation (ICF) and is a graduate of CoachU's 200-hour Coach Training Program. She speaks at national conferences and has taught and written course work for the Cooper Institute for Aerobics Research (CIAR) continuing education department.
